Championnat - Pérez dépasse Leclerc, Hamilton dans le top 5

Max Verstappen profite de sa victoire à Mexico pour signer son 14e succès cette saison, un nouveau record en valeur absolu. Dans le même temps, Sergio Pérez retrouve la seconde position en montant sur son podium à domicile, face à un Charles Leclerc seulement sixième. Derrière le top 3 au général, Lewis Hamilton grimpe grâce à une nouvelle seconde place dans le top 5 en dépassant Carlos Sainz et revient à 15 unités de George Russell.

Chez les constructeurs, McLaren resserre à nouveau l'écart avec Alpine en reprenant 4 points à l'écurie française, à nouveau victime d'un abandon. En dépit de qualifications prometteuses pour Valtteri Bottas, Alfa Romeo ne prend qu'un point alors même qu'Aston Martin a réalisé un zéro pointé.
