Après avoir été sacré en F3 EuroSeries il y a plus d'un mois déjà, Edoardo Mortara a poursuivi sur sa lancée en remportant pour la deuxième année consécutive le Grand Prix de Macao.
L'Italien du team Signature est le premier pilote de l'histoire à s'être imposé deux années consécutives sur le Circuito da Guia lors de cette course non-officielle regroupant les écuries de F3 du monde entier.
Parti en pole, il n'avait pu s'échapper suite à l'entrée en piste d'un premier safety-car. Dépassé par un impressionnant Daniel Abt et par Laurens Vanthoor (tous deux chez Signature), le champion 2010 des F3 EuroSeries a pu regagner sa position initiale pour finalement s'imposer devant Vanthoor et Bottas (Prema Powerteam).
Les pilotes F3 EuroSeries étaient à la fête puisque Marco Wittmann (Signature) et Renger Van der Zande (Motorpark Academy) complètent le top5 de la course.
