Quand le premier vainqueur de l'année a-t-il été titré ?
Si l'on se fie à l'Histoire de la Formule 1, Sebastian Vettel a une chance sur deux de coiffer un cinquième titre mondial en fin de saison. Et donc une chance sur deux de ne pas y parvenir !

Sebastian Vettel s'est imposé dimanche à Melbourne en ouverture de la saison 2017 de Formule 1. Les amateurs de statistiques apprécieront de se pencher sur les chances statistiques du quadruple Champion du monde allemand d'aller conquérir un cinquième sacre : historiquement, elles sont de 50%.
Depuis le début des années 2000, le pourcentage est même plus élevé puisque lors des 17 dernières années, le vainqueur du premier Grand Prix a été sacré Champion du monde à 11 reprises, soit dans près de 65% des cas.
Vettel a lui-même connu ce cas de figure en 2011, lors de son deuxième sacre. Mais l'Histoire retient également que pour ses trois autres titres, l'Allemand ne s'est jamais imposé d'entrée.
Bien entendu, le lien entre la victoire lors de la première épreuve et le titre mondial est purement statistique. Voyons-y avant tout une belle occasion de remonter le temps !
