Pour la deuxième séance d’essais libres de GP3 Series, c’est le pilote allemand Nigel Melker qui a réalisé le meilleur temps. Au volant de la RSC Mücke Motorsport, il a signé son tour en 1:46.151.
Melker a devancé Lewis Williamson de 31 millièmes. MW Arden réalise une bonne performance à Istanbul puisqu’elle place deux de ses trois voitures dans le Top 3, Mitch Evans étant troisième.
Andrea Caldarelli est quatrième devant Rio Haryanto, Michael Christensen, Antonio Felix da Costa et Alexander Sims. Tom Dillmann, seul Français du plateau, est 19ème.
