Norway's Petter Solberg secured a maiden win in Greece as he overcame a half-minute penalty for the absurd absence of mudflaps on his Impreza to win by a relatively comfortable margin of 18 seconds from the hard-chasing Sebastien Loeb. The Citroen man chipped away at the leaders throughout the event and was rewarded on the final day by overhauling Peugeot's Harri Rovanpera for that second place on the podium, something which will annoy the Finn enormously after he seemed to have the measure of the Alsace man on the second day. It's a worrying time for Peugeot's Marcus Gronholm, who is now 19 points adrift of championship leader Loeb.
